ERIKSEN WANTS CHANCES

Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has revealed that he is working hard in order to show his best form for Tottenham. The midfielder has been one of the good signing for the club amongst the several they made in the summer. He was brought to the club for around £ 11 million. He has even been able to overshadow Arsenal’s club record signing Mesut Ozil in the last few weeks. Despite this, Eriksen says that he can produce even more and is looking to show his best form in the coming weeks.

The midfielder has scored two goals in his last three league matches. After the departure of Gareth Bale, former manager Andre Villas-Boas relied heavily upon the creativity of Eriksen. Since this is his first season at the club, he had to go through a period of adjustment and he believes that it has finally helped him settle in the Premier league. Even after the managerial change that brought Tim Sherwood as a replacement for Villas-Boas has not diminished Eriksen’s importance in the team. The midfielder was recently voted as the best Danish player for 2013.

After picking up the award, he stated that he is looking forward to scoring more goals, which was a major reason towards winning the title.

“I have a lot more to show. I’m lucky I can provide goals and create some chances but I can still do better and I will work every day to do that. It’s been a good career until now and I’m really happy to win the Danish award and to score some goals. I’m really happy to play here,” said Eriksen. Tottenham will be up against Swansea in the league during the weekend. A victory is essential from this match in order to keep up with Liverpool, who occupy the final top four places.
