Denmark striker receives death threat

Denmark international striker Nicolai Jorgensen has received death threat and the Denmark Football Federation made a complaint to the police. The Danish striker was one of the three players that have missed their penalty in the match against Croatia.

The player has also received some serious online abuse following his miss at the World Cup but the most serious things have been the death threats that have been reported to the police.

The Danish Football Federation said that it is inadmissible in a civilized society for people to receive death threat whether they are businessman, politicians or football players. In a statement posted online, the Federation said that they will seek the help of the police to stop this from continuing.

Denmark lost their match against Croatia in a dramatic penalty shoot-out where three of their players missed their shots.

The Denmark coach said that it is always disappointing to lose in this condition as you have given your best on the pitch. He said that they managed to control Croatia during the 90 minutes and that they created some opportunities themselves to score goals but they could not take it. He’s already gearing up for a new push at the European Championships – with tickets already selling out fast on this site for Denmark’s home group games.

He said that he is proud of what he has achieved with this group of players and will be looking towards the next big tournament that is the Euros. He believes that Denmark has some good young players coming through the rank and that they will have a stronger side in the future.

He said that Croatia has the potential to reach the final but they will first need to beat England who is the favorite in this side of the bracket. He said that this has been a curious tournament and that he would not be surprised that an outsider wins this tournament in Russia.
