Denmark striker receives death threat

Denmark international striker Nicolai Jorgensen has received death threat and the Denmark Football Federation made a complaint to the police. The Danish striker was one of the three players that have missed their penalty in the match against Croatia.

The player has also received some serious online abuse following his miss at the World Cup but the most serious things have been the death threats that have been reported to the police. (more…)


Brazil goalkeeping coach Claudio Taffarel says that this humiliation suffered by Brazil at the World Cup 2014 still haunts the national team and its fans. After being very much regarded as one of the big favourites to win the title itself, Brazil were thrashed 7-1 by Germany in the semi-final of the World Cup.

The biggest event in world football has never seen such a one-sided scoreline at a later stage in the event. Brazil’s woes were not over after they went on to suffer even more disappointment in the third-place play-off at the hands of Netherlands. (more…)


Despite transfer rumours heavily linking him with a move away from Wolfsburg in the summer, striker Nicklas Bendtner has stated that his intention is to remain with the German outfit for the time being. After making the move to Wolfsburg on a permanent basis from Arsenal, Bendtner was hoping to feature more regularly in the first-team.

As the Danish international was at the peak of his powers, his expectations were seen as being reasonable although his goalscoring record in recent years has been extremely poor. Wolfsburg have not provided in the opportunity to feature in the first-team regularly despite being in several competitions over the campaign. (more…)
